Who doesn't love pasta? The juicy grilled chicken in this recipe along with the penne pasta coated with thick, creamy parmesan sauce makes this Grilled Chicken Alfredo Pasta so effortlessly perfect. It is a simple homemade dinner that is packed with protein and flavor.
3 boneless skinless chicken breasts
Smoked paprika, black pepper, salt, garlic powder, dried parsley, rosemary
Penne pasta
4 tbsp butter
¼ cup all purpose flour
8 oz milk
½ cup heavy cream
3 tbsp cream cheese
⅓ cup mozzarella cheese
⅓ cup parmesan cheese
1 tbsp red chili flakes
Salt and pepper
1 tbsp dried parsley
1 tbsp oregano
Marinate your chicken in 1 tbsp smoked paprika, ½ tbsp black pepper, ½ tbsp salt, ½ tbsp garlic powder, ½ tbsp parsley, and a pinch of rosemary for at least half an hour.
Grill the chicken for about 6-8 minutes on each side or until fully cooked. Remove from heat and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing into thin strips and setting aside.
Heat butter over medium heat in a large skillet. Change the heat to low and add all purpose flour, mixing until smooth. Keep stirring while adding milk, cream cheese, and heavy cream.
When the sauce is smooth and creamy add chili flakes, salt and pepper, dried parsley, and oregano and mix. Toss your cooked pasta in the skillet until well coated.
Add mozzarella and parmesan on top. Top with the sliced grilled chicken and parsley.
