Apple Turnovers are the best thing we've baked all year! I'm already waiting for next fall to come around so we can make these again. The flaky puff pasty with the warm cinnamon apples make this recipe everything you could ever want in a fall dessert. We love serving apple turnovers warm out the oven with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a satisfying dessert of breakfast. The store bought puff pastry makes this recipe perfect even for beginner bakers and it only needs 4 simple ingredients.
1 Apple
Honey
Cinnamon
Puff Pastry Sheet
Preheat your oven to 350 °F.
Peel your apples and cut into thin slices.
Spread a layer of honey onto a piece of parchment paper. Lay the apple slices over it.
Drizzle on more honey and add some cinnamon.
Cover with a square piece of puff pastry sheet.
Brush with egg wash and bake for 20 minutes at 350°F or until golden brown.
Serve with some ice cream and enjoy!
