STRAWBERRY PASTRIES

Impress your friends and family with this quick and easy Christmas breakfast or dessert that will leave everyone wondering where you learned to be a professional baker. It can be our little secret that this recipe uses store-bought puff pastry sheets and only 4 ingredients. The flaky, buttery, layers along with the fresh, juicy, strawberry sitting on a layer of sweet chocolate make this recipe perfect year-round, not just on Christmas. You can also customize this recipe to have any fillings you want! Find some of the flavors we tried below.
INGREDIENTS
Puff pastry sheets
Chocolate
Strawberries
Eggwash
INSTRUCTIONS
Roll out your puff pastry sheets and cut into christmas shapes using cookie cutters. Make sure you make two of each shape.
Place the puff pastry on a parchment lined baking tray.
Add a piece of chocolate on one of each shape.
Place half a strawberry on top of the chocolate.
Place the second pastry shape on top of the first and press down the edges with a fork to close. Brush the top with egg wash.
Bake at 365°F for 15-20 minutes. Optionally dust with powdered sugar.
