LEMON PARMESAN SAUTEED ASPARAGUS

️🕒Ready in 10 minutes       

👥Serves 4 people

This quick and easy sauteed asparagus is perfect for spring! It only takes 15 minutes and a few simple ingredients. The asparagus is cooked in olive oil and garlic and a hint of lemon makes it a delicious way to add veggies to your meal without compromising taste and flavor. Its a great side dish that goes along with a variety of different foods. We served them with our Buffalo Chicken Twice Baked Potatoes for dinner and our  family loved them! They would also go well with our Air Fryer Chicken Thighs or Air Fryer Bang Bang Chicken. 

INGREDIENTS

  •  1 bundle of asparagus

  • 1-2 tbsp olive oil

  • 3 cloves garlic, chopped 

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ¼ tsp pepper

  • 1 tsp freshly squeezed lemon juice

  • Parmesan cheese

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Keep  the rubber band on the bundle of asparagus. Cut of the ends right below the rubber band where the asparagus starts to turn tough and woody. You can remove the rubber bands now. Wash and dry the asparagus.

  2. Heat 1-2 tbsp of olive oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add in the asparagus. You might have to cut the asparagus in half if it is too big to fit in your pan. 

  3. Season with salt and pepper to taste and add chopped garlic and lemon juice.

  4. Stir to mix and cook for 5-10 minutes until tender. 

  5. Remove from heat and top with shredded parmesan cheese. Enjoy!
